Brand strategy sounds abstract, so here's the plain version: it's the set of decisions you make once so you don't have to make them constantly. Who you're for. What you stand for. How you talk. What you look like. Why someone should pick you.

With those answered, everything downstream gets fast. The website copy writes itself from the positioning. The design choices check themselves against the identity. New ideas get a simple test: does this fit who we've decided to be? Without those answers, every piece of marketing starts from a blank page and a debate.

Guessing has a cost you can't see

The obvious cost is time. The bigger one is incoherence. When every decision is made fresh, by whoever's making it that day, the results drift. The brand says slightly different things in different places, and the market receives a blur where a sharp idea should be. You can spend real money on marketing that cancels itself out.
